LAKE FOREST, Ill.- The UW-Oshkosh women's soccer team was shutout, 3-0, in a nonconference matchup at Lake Forest College's (Ill.) Mohr Field on Wednesday evening (Oct 30).
The Titans (3-12-2, 2-4 WIAC) were out shot 10-3 by the Foresters (12-2-3, 6-0-1 MWC) with three of the Foresters' shots finding the back of the net. Both teams committed 7 fouls, Titan goalkeeper
Emma Sauriol (Sr. • New Lenox, Ill.) saved three shots on goal and Oshkosh had eight corners to Lake Forest's four.
The Titans produced three shots on goal, coming off the feet of
Maddie Daigle (Fr. • Coeur d'Alene, Idaho),
Greta Steines (So. • Eau Claire), and
Lauren Janssens (Jr. • Oregon).
The Foresters came out hot, scoring first in the fourth minute and then again four minutes later in the eighth. The first goal was scored by Anna Hoffman and the second came from Anna Garcia. Both teams were at a stalemate for the rest of the first half and the Foresters went into the half with the 2-0 edge. Garcia found the back of the net again in the 53rd minute for her second goal of the game.
The Titans are scheduled to host UW-Platteville in the final game of the regular season on Saturday (Nov. 2) at 2 p.m. at J .J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium. Saturday's matchup is also Senior Day.
