OSHKOSH, Wis.- Amelia Lehman, the 2024 WIAC individual champion, is set to compete in the
NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship on Saturday (Nov. 23) at 11 a.m. eastern time.
Lehman (Sr. • Oshkosh) will make her second appearance in the national meet at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind. She qualified for the 2022 championship, placing 47th in 22:49.9.
Lehman secured her spot in the national championship by finishing seventh in the NCAA Division III North Regional Championship in Northfield, Minn. with a time of 22:15. She will be joined by fellow regional at-large qualifiers from UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stout, UW-Whitewater, and Concordia University Wisconsin. UW-La Crosse won the regional title to advance to the national championship as a team.
Lehman has competed in six meets so far in 2024 and has taken a top-30 position in all. She won her first meet of the season at the UW-Platteville Gender Equity Invite on Sept. 14 in 23:00.4 and took home the Titans' 19th WIAC individual title with a 21:18.2 finish.
The top-40 runners at the championship will receive All-America honors.
