OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's tennis team continued its strong season with a commanding 9-0 victory over UW-River Falls on Saturday (Sept. 28) at the Kolf Sports Center Outdoor Courts. The win improves the Titans' record to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in the WIAC.

The Titans dominated in both doubles and singles play, winning all nine matches while dropping only a few games.

In doubles action,
Olivia Pethan (So. • Oshkosh) and
Alysa Pattee (Sr. • Waupun) secured an 8-2 win at the No. 1 position. Meanwhile, the duo of
Mana Usui (Fr. • Franklin) and
Kayla Gibbs (So. • Muskego) cruised to an 8-2 victory at the No. 2 doubles. The No. 3 doubles team of
Brianna Owens (Fr. • Appleton) and
Courtney Carpenter (Fr. • Oshkosh) rounded off the sweep with an 8-3 triumph.

In singles competition,
Olivia Pethan continued her impressive season with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles against Sydney Wiener. At No. 2 singles,
Mana Usui recorded a dominant 6-2, 6-1 victory over Alexis Budzinski.
Alysa Pattee added to the Titans' lead with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.

Brianna Owens contributed to the sweep with identical 6-4, 6-2 victories at No. 4 and No. 5 singles respectively and
Vianna Dao (Fr. • Oshkosh) capped off the day with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.

The UW-Oshkosh women's tennis team will look to extend its shutout streak as it takes on UW-Stout in a WIAC match next Saturday (Oct. 5). The match will take place at the Kolf Sports Center Outdoor Courts, with the first serve set for 9 a.m.
