OSHKOSH, Wis.- While UW-Oshkosh women's soccer drew with Carroll University on Wednesday night (Oct. 15),
Mallory Kerhin (Green Bay/Green Bay Southwest) posted her fourth shutout of the season.

The tie is Titans' fifth on the year, putting them at 4-4-5 (0-2-1 WIAC) overall. Carroll moves to 5-3-5 (2-2-1 CCIW).

Oshkosh attempted 12 shots (six on goal) to the Pioneers' 11 shots (seven on goal). The Titans recorded six corner kicks against Carroll's four, with 11 total penalties being committed in the match and nine belonging to Oshkosh.

Gabby Born (Fond du Lac/Fond du Lac) attempted four shots for the Titans, including one on goal.
Greta Steines (Eau Claire/Eau Claire Memorial),
Nicole Schmidt (Neenah/Neenah),
Anika Roush (Byron, Ill./Byron),
Maris Heun (Watertown, Minn./Watertown-Mayer), and
Laney Wiebel (Oshkosh/Oshkosh West) all added their own shots on goal.
Addyson Edwards (Appleton/Appleton West) played 90 minutes of shutdown defense along with Kerhin, who saved all seven of her shots faced.

The first half started with a corner kick in the third minute which resulted in two Oshkosh shots on goal; one each from Born and Schmidt. Carroll then went on the attack and attempted a shot which Kerhin saved in the ninth minute. Born and
Alexa Schorr (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) each attempted a shot in the 19th and 21st minutes, respectively.
Belle Dehner (Cottage Grove/Monona Grove) followed up with her own shot in the 24th minute that was above the goal. Both defenses then shut down any offensive attempt, allowing no more shots for the remainder of the period.

Steines took UW-Oshkosh's first second-half shot on goal in the 50th minute. Roush followed up in the 54th minute with a shot of her own that was also saved.
Addyson Knoebel (Appleton/Appleton West) and Born both attempted shots that were wide in the 63rd and 65th minutes, respectively. Born then kicked a shot in the 66th minute and
Maris Heun (Watertown, Minn./Watertown-Mayer) attempted the Titans' next shot in the 76th minute that was saved by the Carroll goalkeeper. Wiebel registered the last shot of the night for the Titans in the 86th minute that was saved in the bottom right corner of the goal.

The Titans are back on the pitch for a WIAC battle on Saturday (Oct. 18) as they travel to Platteville to take on another squad of Pioneers. The match is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium. UW-Oshkosh is 23-6-2 all-time against UW-Platteville.
