OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's tennis team won two of the three doubles matches and the top singles flight in its home dual against UW-Eau Claire on Saturday (Oct. 4). The Blugolds won the remaining matches and earned a 5-2 victory.

Saturday's match was the first time since 2017 that the Titans scored at least two points against the Blugolds.

After Eau Claire's Beatriz Felchak and Liv Herzog defeated
Olivia Pethan (Oshkosh/Fox Valley Lutheran) and
Courtney Carpenter (Oshkosh/Oshkosh West) in No. 1 doubles, the Titans posted wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to earn the best-of-three point.

Kayla Gibbs (Muskego/Muskego) and
Jameson Gregory (Delavan/Big Foot) won over Reese Burton and Kiera Schmid, 6-3, in the second flight and
Mana Usui (Franklin/Franklin) and
Sarah Schaeffer (Rock Springs/Reedsburg) beat Morgan Briggman and Delaney Hanson, 6-2, in the third flight.

Usui put Oshkosh up 2-0 when she beat Herzog, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 1 singles, however the Blugolds won the following five singles match to take the match.

The Titans will host UW-Stevens Point (5-2, 3-2 WIAC) next Saturday (Oct. 11) at 11 a.m. UW-Oshkosh is 38-19 against the Pointers all-time and has won each of the last two meetings.
