OSHKOSH, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's soccer earned a point in the WIAC standings with a 0-0 tie with UW-Stevens Point at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium on Wednesday night (Oct. 8). The shutout was the Titans' fourth this season.

The Titans (4-3-4, 0-1-1 WIAC) nearly tripled the Pointers' (5-4-5, 0-1-1 WIAC) six shots with 16 of their own, including seven on goal. UW-Oshkosh also led 4-2 in corner kicks.

Ella Duckmann (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) took a team-high three shots while
Greta Steines (Eau Claire/Eau Claire Memorial) put both of her shots on goal. Oshkosh also had shots on goal from
Olivia Bahr (Cedar Grove/Cedar Grove-Belgium),
Addyson Edwards (Appleton/Appleton West),
Gabby Born (Fond du Lac/Fond du Lac),
Delaney Sponholz (Fond du Lac/Fond du Lac), and
Maddie Daigle (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho/Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy).

Mallory Kerhin (Green Bay/Green Bay Southwest) didn't have much to do in goal on Wednesday night facing zero shots in goal on the Pointers' six attempts.

The Titans tried to score six times in the first 20 minutes of the contest with on-goal attempts by Steines and Edwards.
Addyson Knoebel (Appleton/Appleton West) struck the ball off the left woodwork at 11:33 before Steines came in to shoot six seconds later, but Pointer goalkeeper Ainsley Katte recorded her first of seven saves.

Born and Sponholz added shots on goal in the first half in the 29th and 45th minutes, respectively.

UW-Oshkosh jumped on the Pointers again early in the second half, recording five shots by the 67th minute. Bahr made the first of the Titans' three shots on goal in the half at 58:19, followed by Daigle's attempt to the bottom right corner of the goal at 66:24.

Following an off-target shot in the 88th minute, Steines trying for the go-ahead goal at 88:10 and
Hannah Huntley (Hudson/Hudson) shot wide left at 89:43.

The Titans host UW-Stout (6-4-3, 0-0-2 WIAC) on Saturday at 4 p.m. They are undefeated against the Blue Devils in eight straight matches back to the 2016 season and have won the two most recent by scores of 3-2 in 2024 and 1-0 in 2023.
