OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's cross country team hosted the WIAC Championship for the first time in ten years at the XC Ranch on Saturday (Nov. 1). The Titans placed sixth, scoring 144 points.
 
UW-La Crosse won the team championship with 21 points and Molly Heidorn of UW-Eau Claire earned the individual title in a time of 21:18.
 
Lehna Mitchell (Oshkosh/Oshkosh North) led the Titans and was awarded All-WIAC Second Team honors in her first conference meet by recording a personal record time of 21:49, finishing ninth.
 
Emma Boegh (Berlin/Berlin) was second for the Titans, finishing in 28th place and running a personal record of 22:31. 
Gwen Feitl (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South) finished in 34th place, completing the course in 22:49.
 
Allison VanDerWegen (Kaukauna/Kaukauna) took 43rd place with career best finish of 23:07 and 
Amari Siegfried (Menomonee Falls/Brookfield East) rounded out the scorers for the Titans, running a 23:27 personal best.
 
Ella Kojis (Waukesha/Waukesha South) was sixth, finishing in 61st in a time of 23:35. 
Piper Johnson (Poynette/Poynette) ran a personal record of 23:39, good for 63rd place. 
Ashley Groothoff (Two Rivers/Two Rivers) was right behind her, who placed 64th in a personal record of 23:42.
 
Josie Makurat (Fairfax, Va./Woodson) finished in 75th place, completing the course in 24:10. 
Ella Galaszewski (West Allis/Nathan Hale) set a personal record of 24:23, good for 77th place. 
Anabel Mitchell (Oshkosh/Oshkosh North) also set a personal record, running 25:05, finishing in 86th. Finishing in 87th was 
Madeline Osmanski (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs), completing the course in 25:56.
 
The Titans return on Thursday (Nov. 6) for the Ripon College Red Hawk Open. The Titans will compete at Tuscumbia Golf Course in Green Lake.
