INDIANOLA, Iowa- The UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics team traveled to Indianola, Iowa Saturday (Feb. 1) to face Simpson College for the first time since the Storm joined the WIAC. Oshkosh won by a score of 191.350-188.350.

UW-Oshkosh extended its streak of consecutive meets scoring over 190 points to 21 in the dual win. The streak dates back to a 190.775-183.950 win over Winona State University (Minn.) at home on Feb. 16, 2023.

The Titans scored a 48.025 on the uneven bars, a 47.125 on the vault, a 47.925 in the floor exercise, and a 48.375 on the balance beam. They took event wins on the uneven bars, the floor exercise and the balance beam.

Averie Evans (Fr. • Fort Worth, Texas) and
Sam Zeilinger (Sr. • Wheaton, Ill.) each scored 9.650 points to tie for first on the uneven bars. At 9.625 points,
Liz Romano (Sr. • Royersford, Pa.) finished third,
Amaya McConkay (Sr. • Broken Arrow, Okla.) took fourth with a 9.575, and
Reanna McGibboney (Jr. • Chester Springs, Pa.) scored a 9.525 for fifth.

McGibboney tied for third on the vault with a 9.500, followed by McConkay in a tie for fifth at 9.475 and
Mia Passarella (So. • Atlanta, Ga.) in seventh at 9.425.

Leading UW-Oshkosh in the floor exercise was
Delaney Cienkus (Sr. • Plainfield, Ill.), who scored a 9.725 for second place.
Mia Lucero (Sr. • Bollingbrook, Ill.) scored a 9.650 for third,
Jay Ratkowski (So. • Franklin) finished fourth with a 9.625, and in her collegiate scoring debut,
Mary Lloyd grabbed seventh with a score of 9.525 points.

Cienkus won the balance beam in the following rotation at 9.825 points, tying her best performance of the season. With a 9.700,
Emma Steele (So. • Orange County, Calif.) took second and
Lydia Hayden (Jr. • Broomfield, Colo.) tied for third with a 9.650. Ratkowski and Romano tied for fifth at 9.600 points.

The Titans remain on the road for the next three weeks. They will compete in the Central Michigan University Triangular with Southeast Missouri State University on Thursday (Feb. 6), at UW-Whitewater on Saturday, Feb. 15, and in the UW-Stout Triangular with Winona State on Thursday, Feb. 20.
