BROWN DEER, Wis.- During the first day of the 2025 WIAC Championship (presented by Culver's) on Wednesday (Feb. 19),
Francesca Schiro and the UW-Oshkosh women's swimming & diving team set records in the 800-yard freestyle relay.

Schiro (Sr. • New Glarus),
Cadence Showalter (Sr. • Naperville, Ill.),
Rowan Sinclair (Fr. • Temecula, Calif.), and
Brianna Wesenberg (Jr. • Ripon) combined for a third-place 7:43.98 finish. The mark broke last season's program record of 7:47.36.

As the leadoff swimmer, Schiro's 200-yard freestyle time of 1:51.77 counted as both a new school record and a 'B' cut for the NCAA Division III Championship.

The Titans also placed fourth in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:48.79 and
Maya Indiraraj (Jr. • West Bend) finished the 3-meter diving with a 396.55-point score for sixth place.

The Titans will for day two of the 2025 WIAC Championship (presented by Culver's) Thursday (Feb. 20). Due to a power outage at the facility, diving warmups will begin at 11:30 a.m. with competition starting immediately following. The evening swimming session is slated for 5 p.m.
