OSHKOSH, Wis.- During the UW-Oshkosh women's basketball team's Senior Day celebration on Saturday (Feb. 8), it hosted UW-River Falls at Kolf Sports Center. The Titans held the Falcons to single-digit scoring in two of the four periods in a 70-34 victory.

Fifteen of the Titans points were scored on turnovers while they held the Falcons (12-9, 4-6 WIAC) to none. They additionally led 28 to 14 in points in the paint and 21 to nine in bench points. Kate Huml (Jr. • Janesville) increased the edge to a first half high 14 points on a three with 5:50 left before halftime before a three and a jumper for River Falls cut the deficit to six points (25-19) when the teams headed to the locker rooms.

Head coach Brad Fischer, the fifth-most winning coach in WIAC women's basketball history, has now coached 12 teams to 20-win seasons in his 13 years at the helm of the Titans. The only season UW-Oshkosh did not reach 20 wins under Fischer was the shortened 2020-21 campaign where the Titans played 11 games. Bo Ryan, who coached the UW-Platteville men's basketball program from 1985-99, is the only other WIAC basketball head coach to lead their program to 12 consecutive 20-win full-length seasons.

The Titans will play both of their games on the road next week, facing UW-Stevens Point (15-6, 5-5 WIAC) on Wednesday (Feb. 12) at 7 p.m. and UW-La Crosse (13-8, 5-5 WIAC) on Saturday (Feb. 15) at 3 p.m.
