CLERMONT, Fla.- UW-Oshkosh softball faced Luther College (Iowa) and Manchester University (Ind.) on Monday (March 24), winning won the first game before the Spartans got the best of the Titans in the second.

Oshkosh totaled 11 hits on the day with six coming against the Norse and five against Manchester. Luther and Manchester each totaled four hits against the Titans.

Cali Divito (Sr. • Inverness, Ill.) led the way for Oshkosh against Luther. She was 3-for-3 at the plate with a double, two RBIs, and a run.
Haylie Wittman (Jr. • Kaukauna) was solid in the first game as she was 1-for-3 with a double and a run.

Sydney Nemetz (Sr. • Marinette) started against the Norse, tossing five innings, striking out five, and allowing three hits. She earned the win, moving her to 5-1 on the season.
Brianna Bougie (So. • Oshkosh) pitched the last two innings and struck out one batter and gave up a hit in her third save of the year.

Oshkosh struck first when Divito doubled and drove in two runs in the bottom of the second.
Sydney Rau (Fifth • Downers Grove, Ill.) then singled to drive in another run to put Oshkosh up 3-0.

Luther tried to rally with two runs of its own in the fourth inning, but it was too little, too late. Oshkosh won its first game of the day, 3-2.

In game two against Manchester,
Abby Garceau (Sr. • Mishicot) was great at the dish, going 3-for-4 with a double and a run.

Grace Nardi (Fr. • Marquette, Mich.) started on the bump against the Spartans, throwing four innings and striking out three.
Morgan Miller (Jr. • Schaumburg, Ill.) pitched two innings of relief work with two strikeouts while allowing a hit. Bougie then finished the day on the mound for the Titans.

Game two's scoring started with Manchester getting one across the plate in the third inning. The Titans answered in the fifth after
Morgan Rau's (Fifth • Downers Grove, Ill.) sacrifice fly drove in a run. Manchester broke the tie in the seventh to give it the 2-1 win.

Oshkosh prepares for more of THE Spring Games on Tuesday (March 25) as they are scheduled to play Union College (N.Y.) at 10:15 a.m. eastern time and Lewis & Clark College (Ore.) at 12:30 p.m.
