CLERMONT, Fla.- The UW-Oshkosh softball squad swept its final day of THE Spring Games by defeating Lawrence University 13-3 in six innings and Colby College (Maine) by a score of 7-0.

UW-Oshkosh (16-2), ranked seventh in the nation by the
National Fastpitch Coaches Association, tallied 11 hits against Lawrence (4-11) and nine against Colby (5-5). Lawrence and Colby had four and three hits respectively.

Haylie Wittman (Jr. • Kaukauna) went 2-for-3 with a double, drove in 3 runs, and scored twice against the Vikings while
Sydney Rau (Downers Grove, Ill.) was 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run.

Grace Nardi (Fr. • Marquette, Mich.) was on the bump to start game one. She tossed the opening three innings and produced 4 strikeouts on her way to her fifth win on the year.Â
Morgan Miller (Jr. • Schaumburg, Ill.) pitched the last three innings, striking out two batters.

The Titans opened the scoring in game one when
Sydney Rau bunted in
Cali Divito (Sr. • Inverness, Ill.) for a run.
Sophie Wery (Sr. • Seymour) then doubled to drive in two more to make the score 3-0 after the first inning.

In the top of the second, Divito hit a sacrifice fly to drive home another run.
Â
Wittman then doubled in the fifth to drive in two more runs.
Amanda Martineck (So. • Frankfort, Ill.) and
Abby Garceau (Sr. • Mishicot) each then tallied an RBI. Lawrence broke its goose egg by putting up three runs in the bottom of the 5th.

Wittman and Garceau drove in three runs in the sixth on a single and a sacrifice fly.
Sarah Hammerton (So. • Appleton) increased the lead to 11-3 by scoring on an error before Divito sealed the game with a two-RBI triple.

Wittman led the way again in game two as she was 2-for-3 with two runs scored against Colby.Â
Olivia Ullman (Fr. • Denmark) was also great in the second game, hitting 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and a run.

Sydney Nemetz (Sr. • Marinette) pitched her 37th career complete game in game two. She struck out nine and gave up three hits in her six innings.

Scoring against the Mules was kicked off in the bottom of the first inning as Divito singled to drive in Rau. Wery then doubled to drive in two more for the Titans.

In the bottom of the second, Rau laid down a sacrifice bunt to drive in Martineck for Oshkosh's fourth run. Ullman then doubled to drive in Rau and Wittman.

After a scoreless third inning, Garceau drove Wittman home again on a Colby dropped fly ball.
Five of Nemetz's strikeouts came in the last three frames while she put the Mules down in order in the fifth and sixth innings and faced just four batters in the seventh.

The Titans are set to return to Wisconsin for a road trip to De Pere to face the St. Norbert College Green Knights (1-11) for a doubleheader on Wednesday (April 2) at the Mel Nicks Sports Complex at 3 and 5 p.m.
