MENOMONIE, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh softball team wrapped up its eight-game road trip with a pair of wins over UW-Stout on Saturday (April 26) at the Blue Devils' Alumni Field.

The Titans (30-6, 6-4 WIAC) scored seven sixth-inning runs in a comeback 7-4 victory in the first game and tallied nine runs across the final five innings of the second game to win 9-2.

Oshkosh started
Sydney Nemetz (Marinette/Marinette) (Sr. • Marinette) in the circle in the first game. She pitched two innings and allowed one unearned run on two hits and a walk.
Skyler Calmes (Kaukauna/Kaukauna) (Jr. • Kaukauna) threw the following two innings and allowed two runs on two hits, two walks and a hit batter, followed by
Morgan Miller (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) (Sr. • Schaumburg, Ill.) who started the game as the designated player. Miller induced a flyout to end the fifth inning.
Brianna Bougie (Oshkosh/Oshkosh West) (So. • Oshkosh) finished the game and struck out a batter while allowing a run on two hits and a walk. Miller moved to 2-2 on the season with the win.

Haylie Wittman (Kaukauna/Kaukauna) (Jr. • Kaukauna) hit 2-for-3 in the game with a two-RBI single and scored two runs.

Over the first four innings, the Blue Devils (11-19, 2-6 WIAC) scored three runs on a sacrifice fly, an RBI double, and a sacrifice bunt while holding Oshkosh off the board.

The Titans' bats came out hot in the sixth inning and Oshkosh tallied seven runs to take the lead.
Olivia Ullman (Denmark/Denmark) (Fr. • Denmark) singled up the middle of the infield to reach first base and moved to third on
Morgan Rau's (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South) (Fifth • Downers Grove, Ill.) double before crossing home when
Amanda Martineck (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) (So. • Frankfort, Ill.) hit a sacrifice fly to left field.
Sarah Hammerton (Appleton/Appleton West) (So. • Appleton) sent Rau home in the following at-bat with a single to make the score 3-2 with two outs.

A dropped pop up by the Blue Devils' pitcher put Miller on first. Wittman later singled up the middle to score
Lizzie Slobodecki (Carol Stream, Ill./Glenbard North) (Sr. • Carol Stream, Ill.) who was pinch running for
Sophie Wery (Seymour/Seymour Community) (Sr. • Seymour) and Hammerton and hand Oshkosh the edge at 4-3. A single down the left field line by
Cali Divito (Inverness, Ill./Fremd) (Sr. • Inverness, Ill.) sent Miller home and
Mary Kate Quaid (Aurora, Ill./Oswego East) (Fr. • Aurora, Ill.) singled down the opposite line to score Wittman for the fifth and sixth runs. The Titans' final run of the frame came on Ullman's single to left center which allowed Divito to run home from third.

The Blue Devils scored once in the bottom of the sixth inning but couldn't overcome the deficit and UW-Oshkosh won, 7-4.

Grace Nardi (Marquette, Mich./Negaunee) (Fr. • Marquette, Mich.) pitched the first two innings of the nightcap and struck out three batters before Bougie came in for relief and finished the last five innings, holding the Blue Devils scoreless. She struck out three and induced 10 groundouts in her 17 batters faced before earning her seventh win of the year.

Ullman went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run, and two RBIs in game two while
Abby Garceau (Mishicot/Mishicot) scored two runs on a 2-for-4 game at the plate.

Stout scored its only runs of the game in the first inning, hitting a two-RBI single to center field.

Ullman and Divito tied the score at 2-2 in the third inning on a throwing error and Oshkosh took the lead in the fifth with two more runs.
Abby Garceau (Mishicot/Mishicot) (Sr. • Mishicot) notched a leadoff single before reaching home on Rau's single two batters later. Slobodecki came out again to pinch run, this time for Rau. She advanced to second on Wery's single and to third on Quaid's walk to load the bases. Hammerton drew another walk and Slobodecki moved home.

In the sixth inning, Ullman scored Divito with a single and Rau scored Garceau on a combination of her flyout to right field and a throwing error by the Blue Devils' shortstop for a 6-2 lead.

UW-Oshkosh tallied their final three runs of the day in the seventh inning. Wittman singled to scored pinch runner
Olivia Baugnet (De Pere/De Pere) (Fr. • De Pere), Ullman scored Hammerton on a groundout, and Martineck singled to score Wittman.

The Titans return to the UW-Oshkosh Softball Park for their final four games of the regular season, hosting UW-Platteville (23-11, 6-4 WIAC) on Wednesday, April 30, and UW-Eau Claire (25-11, 5-5 WIAC) on Sunday, May 4 for Senior Day.
