GREENWOOD, Ind.- Four members of the UW-Oshkosh women's tennis squad were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team on Tuesday (May 13).
Courtney Carpenter (Oshkosh/Oshkosh West) and
Alysa Pattee (Waupun/Waupun) earned the honor for the second straight year while
Kayla Gibbs (Muskego/Muskego) and
Olivia Pethan (Oshkosh/Fox Valley Lutheran) were named academic all-district for the first time in their careers.
Carpenter owns a team best 3.96 cumulative grade-point average as a medical imaging major. Primarily a doubles player, she went 9-6 this season with
Brianna Owens (Appleton/Kimberly) and
Cate Gerl (Joliet, Ill./Lincoln-Way West). She also posted a 2-2 record in singles play.
Pattee is a rehabilitation science major with a 3.64 cumulative GPA. This season, she went 8-9 in doubles play, mostly with Pethan, and 8-5 in singles play.
A physical education major Gibbs has a 3.56 cumulative GPA. She posted a doubles record of 10-6 with three partners and a singles mark of 7-4.
Pethan studies accounting at UW-Oshkosh and owns a 3.87 cumulative GPA. During the fall portion of the season, she worked an 8-4 doubles record with Pattee and went 10-5 against singles competition.
The 2025 CSC Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
