GREENWOOD, Ind.- When the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Team on Tuesday morning (May 27), four members of the UW-Oshkosh softball program were named to the team.
Brianna Bougie (Oshkosh/Oshkosh West),
Cali Divito (Inverness, Ill./Fremd),
Morgan Rau (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South), and
Sophie Wery (Seymour/Seymour Community) were each named academic all-district.
Bougie is an accounting major with a 3.59 cumulative grade-point average. Across 96.2 innings this season, she accumulated a 12-1 record with seven saves in 27 appearances and eight starts. She leads Division III with a 0.72 earned run average, ranks third in saves, fourth with 3.98 hits allowed per seven innings, and sixth with a 1.45 WHIP. Bougie threw four complete games and a pair of shutouts this season, struck out 45 batters and held opponents to a .164 batting average. She was named to the All-WIAC First Team and tabbed as the Kwik Trip Pitcher of the Year on May 13.
Divito owns a 3.70 cumulative GPA as an accounting and finance double major. The starting third baseman hit .315 with 40 total hits, nine doubles, a triple, and a home run across 127 at-bats for a .425 slugging percentage. She was also walked 11 times and hit by three pitches to acquire a .380 on-base percentage. Divito had 10 multi-hit games this season including three-hit performances against Luther College (Iowa) on March 24 and Lakeland University on April 24. She recorded a season high four RBIs against UW-Superior going 2-for-2 with a two-RBI double and a two-RBI single.
An elementary and special education double major with a 3.88 cumulative GPA, Rau started all 47 games for the Titans at shortstop. She led UW-Oshkosh with a .998 on-base plus slugging percentage, 53 hits, 13 doubles, five triples, 33 RBIs, and a .564 slugging percentage. She also paced the Titans with 16 multi-hit games including two three-hit games and a 4-for-4 game against Lewis & Clark College (Ore.) on March 25. She also reached first base in a team best 26 consecutive games between February 22 and April 16.
Wery is a psychology and rehabilitation science double major with a 3.58 cumulative GPA. The 2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Second Team All-Region selection recorded nine multi-RBI games this season including a pair of four-RBI contests against Concordia University Wisconsin on February 22 and Carroll University on April 5. She became the WIAC's all-time leader in RBIs on May 10 during the Titans' win over UW-Platteville in the WIAC Tournament (presented by Culver's) championship game. She ranks eighth among active Division III players with 172 career RBIs. This season, she hit .353 with a .941 OPS and recorded 47 hits, 12 doubles, a triple, and three home runs with 16 runs and 32 RBIs across 133 at-bats.
UW-Oshkosh finished the season with a 39-8 record, the second-most in program history. After opening the season with eight consecutive wins, the Titans posted a 10-4 record in WIAC play to earn the No. 2 seed in the WIAC Tournament. After a first-round bye, they defeated UW-Stevens Point and UW-Platteville on their way to the third conference tournament crown in program history to earn the WIAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship. The team learned it would be hosting a regional tournament for the third straight year during the selection show and opened the national postseason with a 6-0 win over Concordia Wisconsin on May 15. Stevens Point sent Oshkosh to the elimination bracket with a 1-0 win on May 16. UW-Oshkosh eliminated Concordia Wisconsin from the tournament with a 4-1 win on May 17 and advanced to the regional championship for the third time in three years before the Pointers bested Oshkosh, 3-1.
When the WIAC released its all-conference teams on May 12, Bougie highlighted the Titans' selections with Kwik Trip Pitcher of the Year honors. She was joined on the All-WIAC First Team by
Abby Garceau (Mishicot/Mishicot) and
Sarah Hammerton (Appleton/Appleton West).
Grace Nardi (Marquette, Mich./Negaunee) and
Haylie Wittman (Kaukauna/Kaukauna) were named All-WIAC Honorable Mention while
Reese Koski (Appleton/Appleton North) was all-sportsmanship. Oshkosh's coaching staff was named Kwik Trip Co-Coaching Staff of the Year alongside UW-Platteville.
On May 16 during the regional tournament, the NFCA announced that
Sydney Nemetz (Marinette/Marinette) was named to her second consecutive All-Region VIII First Team. Wery earned second team all-region honors for the second time in three years and
Sydney Rau (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South) collected her first career all-region nod with a second team placement.
The 2025 CSC Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Tuesday, June 27, 2025.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
