LeRoy Scores Second Goal Of Season Against Raiders

Jaden LeRoy notched her second goal of the year and her second in two matches at MSOE

OSHKOSH, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's soccer traveled to Milwaukee on Wednesday (September 10) to face the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Jaden LeRoy (Evansville/Evansville) scored the equalizer in the 62nd minute, her second goal of the season, before the Raiders answered with the go ahead goal.
 
The Titans (1-1-2) shot 12 times at Viets Field on Wednesday with six shots on goal against MSOE's (1-4-1) 13 shots and nine on goal. They recorded four corner kicks to the Raiders' three and committed five fouls to the hosts' seven.
 
Gabby Born (Fond du Lac/Fond du Lac) paced Titan players with three shots. Belle Dehner (Cottage Grove/Monona Grove) and LeRoy both put both of their shots on goal and one of Addyson Knoebel's (Appleton/Appleton West) two shots was on goal. Greta Steines (Eau Claire/Eau Claire Memorial) added UW-Oshkosh's final shot on goal with her sole shot of the night.
 
Mallory Kerhin (Green Bay/Green Bay Southwest) played all 90 minutes in goal for Oshkosh and recorded six saves on eight shots faced, four of which she saved in the first half.
 
UW-Oshkosh took possession at the start of the game and put three shots on goal in the first eight minutes. LeRoy started it off with a shot to the bottom right at 1:12, followed by Dehner to the bottom center at 4:01 and again at 7:53 to the bottom left.
 
Fourteen seconds apart in the 16th minute, Nadia Epshteyn (Cedarburg/Cedarburg) put a shot off the top woodwork and Born shot off goal to the left to tack on UW-Oshkosh's fourth and fifth shots before MSOE took its first shot.
 
Knoebel attempted to break the scoreless tie with the final shot of the first half at 44:32 but missed wide right and the teams headed into the locker rooms without a goal between them.
 
The Titans registered a team save at 58:22 and Kerhin notched her fifth save at 59:15 before the Raiders got on the board early in the 62nd minute.
 
The Titans responded just 41 seconds later when LeRoy took a pass from Addyson Edwards (Appleton/Appleton West) and scored her second goal of the year at 61:49.
 
UW-Oshkosh put additional shots on goal in the 68th and 70th minutes, bookending the Raiders' second goal at 69:06.
 
The Titans will host Lake Forest College (Ill.) (5-0) on Saturday (September 13) for their first home match of the year. Oshkosh and the Foresters will kick off at 2 p.m. at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.
