OSHKOSH, Wis,- The UW-Oshkosh women's soccer team fell to the Lake Forest College Foresters on Saturday (Sept. 13) by a score of 2-1. UWO's lone goal came off the foot of
Jaden LeRoy (Evansville/Evansville), her third of the season.

The Titans (1-2-2) and Foresters (7-0) both shot 11 times in the contest. Oshkosh held an 8-6 shots on goal lead and fouled four times in the visitors' five. Lake Forest saved seven shots to the Titans' four and had eight corner kicks to Oshkosh's one.

Belle Dehner (Cottage Grove/Monona Grove) paced Oshkosh's shot takers with four shots and three on goal. Both of
Ella Duckmann's (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) shots were on goal and three more Titans registered shots on goal.

In the 9th and 12th minutes of the first half, Dehner took the first two of UW-Oshkosh's shots on goal, and both were saved. Then in the 17th minute,
Mallory Kerhin (Green Bay/Green Bay Southwest) made the first of her four saves, but 15 seconds later, Lake Forest converted a corner kick into a 1-0 lead.

Addyson Knoebel (Appleton/Appleton West) attempted a shot on goal in the 27th minute but was unable to put it away and Duckmann took her first chance in the 33rd minute.

Kerhin then collected her second and third saves in the 36th and 39th minute, both on corner kicks.

Duckmann put another shot on goal at the top of the net in the 41st minute that was saved by the Foresters' goalkeeper.

Second half scoring opened with Lake Forest netting its second goal in the 60th minute, increasing the lead to 2-0. After two off-target shots and another Kerhin save, The Titans broke through and netted a goal in the 80th minute off the foot of LeRoy. The forward leads UW-Oshkosh with three goals this season.

Brynn Higgins (Oswego, Ill./Joliet Catholic) and Dehner both attempted equalizers to the right side of the goal in the 84th and 89th minutes, but both were saved, and the Foresters secured their seventh win of the season.

The Titans are back in action tomorrow at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium at 2 p.m. against the College of Saint Benedict (Minn.) (1-4). Oshkosh is 1-11-1 all-time against the Bennies, last beating CSB, 2-1 in two overtimes, on September 14, 2003.
