OSHKOSH, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's tennis won its third consecutive match by a 7-0 score on Friday night (Sept. 19) when it hosted St. Norbert College at the Oshkosh YMCA Tennis Center.

The Titans (4-1) extended their winning streak against the Green Knights (2-2) to eight matches, the second time they have reached the mark (Sept. 16, 1987-Sept. 19, 1995).

Kayla Gibbs (Muskego/Muskego) and
Jameson Gregory (Delavan/Big Foot) finished their doubles match first with a 6-0 win over Irene Multhauf and Alyssa Tegen in the No. 2 flight. In No. 1 doubles,
Olivia Pethan (Oshkosh/Fox Valley Lutheran) and
Courtney Carpenter (Oshkosh/Oshkosh West) wrapped up their 6-4 victory over Jordan Domnick and Allison Unverzagt to secure the doubles point. It took
Mana Usui (Franklin/Franklin) and
Sarah Schaeffer (Rock Springs/Reedsburg) an extra point to win the third doubles flight, but they defeated Anna Vechart and Anna Krupka, 7-5, to finish the doubles play.

Once singles action began,
Cate Gerl (Joliet, Ill./Lincoln-Way West) took the No. 6 match, 7-5, 6-4, over Madeline Diefenthaler as the first match to finish.
Bre Schultz (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) beat Alyssa Tegen, 6-0, 6-3 in the fifth flight to make the team score 3-0, followed by Pethan's 6-2, 6-1 win over Domnick at No. 1.

Brianna Owens (Appleton/Kimberly) won over Multhauf at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-4, before Usui won over Unverzagt at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-1, and Gibbs beat Vechart, 6-3, 6-1, in No. 3.

The Titans will host UW-Stout (2-5) at the Kolf Sports Center Outdoor Tennis Courts on Friday, September 26 at 4 p.m. Oshkosh is 34-14 all time against the Blue Devils and has won the last three matchups.
