DUBUQUE, Iowa- UW-Oshkosh women's soccer traveled south on Saturday (Sept. 20) to play the University of Dubuque (Iowa) in the third annual 151 Derby at the Spartans' Oyen Field.

The derby concluded with a tie for the second year in a row after Saturday's 1-1 tie and the trophy will stay with the Spartans as they won the inaugural edition of the event in 2023.

Dubuque (2-0-5) dominated ball control with 14 shots (nine on goal) while the Titans' (2-2-3) were more productive with their shots as four of their five shots were on goal. Oshkosh also held a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.

Mallory Kerhin (Green Bay/Green Bay Southwest) saved eight shots on goal in the contest, allowing the sole Spartan goal in the 41st minute.

Addyson Edwards (Appleton/Appleton West),
Addyson Knoebel (Appleton/Appleton West),
Ryley Meenk (Waukesha/Waukesha South),
Gabby Born (Fond du Lac/Fond du Lac), and
Jaden LeRoy (Evansville/Evansville) each recorded a shot and all of their shots besides LeRoy's went on goal.

LeRoy took the first shot of the game in the fourth minute before Dubuque shot five times with three on goal in the next 17 minutes against Born's shot to the bottom left that was saved. The Spartans later shot three times between the 27th and 32nd minutes, two of which were on goal and saved by Kerhin. The Spartans broke the scoreless tie in the 41st minute and tried for a 2-goal edge headed into halftime with a saved shot by Kerhin in the 42nd minute.

The Titans took possession right away in the second half and Edwards used a corner kick to put a shot on goal. Knoebel scored her second goal of the season in the 68th minute when
Shannon Walsh (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) and
Anika Roush (Byron, Ill./Byron) each recorded an assist to get her the ball.

The Spartans took on off target shot and a pair of shots on goal for the rest of the shots in the match, but Kerhin got in front of them for her seventh and eighth saves of the day and to keep the score tied at 1-1.

The Titans continue their 4-game road trip on Wednesday (Sept. 24), heading to Illinois to face North Park University at 7 p.m. They are 4-1 against the Vikings since their first meeting in 2006
