MADISON, Wis.- Demir Ashiru (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) was named the WIAC Kwik Trip Football Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday (Oct. 6) for his performance during the period of Sept. 28-Oct.4.
Ashiru accounted for 437 of the Titans' 471 yards and all four touchdowns in the Titans' 32-31 loss to No. 19-ranked UW-La Crosse on Oct. 3. He went 16-of-28 for 228 passing yards with two touchdowns through the air, while rushing 19 times for 209 yards and another pair of scores on the ground. His 437 all-purpose yards are the most by a Titan since 2023 and his rushing yards are the most since 2007. Ashiru was also named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for his efforts.
Ashiru and the Titans hit the road next week to face No. 2/2 UW-River Falls at the Falcons' Smith Stadium at Ramer Field on Saturday, Oct. 10. River Falls leads the all-time series, 37-31-1, but the Titans own a 7-3 edge in the last 10 games including a 21-17 upset win in Oshkosh in 2025.
