MINNEAPOLIS- Following his remarkable performance against UW-La Crosse on Saturday (Oct. 3), Demir Ashiru (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) was selected as the top-performing quarterback on the D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday (Oct. 6).

Ashiru accounted for 437 of the Titans' 471 yards and all four touchdowns in the Titans' 32-31 loss to UW-La Crosse on Oct. 3. He went 16-of-28 for 228 passing yards with two touchdowns through the air while rushing 19 times for 209 yards and another pair of scores on the ground. His 437 all-purpose yards are the most by a Titan since 2023 and his rushing yards are the most since 2007.

Ashiru becomes the third quarterback in program history to receive this honor and first since 2023. The Plainfield, Ill. native is the 38th selection to the team since it began in the 1999 season and is the second Titan this season to notch Team of the Week honors as CJ Relias (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove) earned the honor earlier this season (Sept. 22).
