MENOMINEE, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh men's track & field traveled to the UW-Stout Warren Bowlus Open, on Saturday (Jan. 31). The meet was unscored, however the Titans faced off against strong competition from WIAC schools.

Cameron Cullen (Kewaunee/Kewaunee) was the first event winner for the Titans, winning the mile run in 4:17.24.

Eddie Jones (Waukesha/Catholic Memorial) grabbed a second place in the 60-meter dash, running 7.04 seconds after a preliminary round of 6.99 seconds.

The Titans then proceeded to sweep the top four spots in the 400-meter dash.
Lucas Koerselman (West Des Moines, Iowa/Valley),
Sean Malay (Denmark/Denmark),
Matthew Eiden (Stevens Point/SPASH) and
Eli Kerner (Eagle River/Northland Pines) all finished within a second of each other. Koerselman took the win in 50.48, Malay second in 50.69, Eiden third in 50.80 and Kerner fourth in 51.27.

Lucas Nicholson (Pewaukee/Pewaukee) and
Noah Callahan (Barlett, Ill./South Elgin) led the Titans in the 800-meter run. The duo grabbed the top-two spots, with Nicholson finishing in 1:55.34 and Callahan right behind at 1:55.76.
Alex Peterson (Oconto Falls/Gillett) won the 3,000-meter run, finishing in 8:43.86.

In the final track event, the team of
Luke Beeksma (/), Callahan,
Owen Koele (Reeseville/Waterloo) and Cullen took second in the 4x400-meter relay, running a time of 3:30.94.

In the field,
Christian Thompson (Milwaukee/Ronald Reagan) placed third in the high jump with a jump of 1.95 meters.

Brady Hoffer (Appleton/Kaukauna) and
Cameron McAndrews (West Bend/West Bend West) grabbed medals in the long jump. Hoffer was second with 6.69 meters, and McAndrews was third with 6.62 meters.

David Nkwogu earned the first field win for the Titans by skipping 14.29 meters in the triple jump.

Gavin Fritsch (Little Chute/Little Chute Career Pathways Academy) and
Bryce Hale (Appleton/Kimberly) grabbed the top two spots in the weight throw, with Fritsch throwing 20.20 meters for first and Hale 18.95 meters as runner-up.

In the pole vault, Colin Kao finished in second place, vaulting 4.92 meters.

The Titans return next Saturday (February 7) for the Ripon Red Hawk Invitational.
