LA CROSSE, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics held a 0.350-point lead over UW-La Crosse after the first two rotations of Friday night's (Feb. 6) dual in Mitchell Hall before the Titans fell, 192.450-190-875, to the defending National Collegiate Gymnastics Association champion Eagles.

Oshkosh owned a 48.325-47.900 edge on the uneven bars while La Crosse led on the vault (48.050-47.975), balance beam (48.500-47.275) and floor exercise (48.000-47.300).

Averie Evans (Fort Worth, Texas/Boswell) claimed the Titans' sole individual event win of the meet with a 9.800 on the uneven bars. The score tied her team-leading bars total this season.
Amaya McConkay (Broken Arrow, Okla./Union) tied an Eagle for second place at 9.750 points, followed by a tied for fourth place for Lydia Layden at 9.700.
Hadley Bretschneider (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Southwest) took sixth place with a score of 9.575 points and
Reanna McGibboney (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) finished the event with a 9.500, which put her in a tie for eighth place.

Hanah Hughes led Oshkosh on the vault with a second-place tally of 9.625 points. Evans, McGibboney and
Ome Ellis (Oak Park, Mich./Royal Oak) all scored a 9.600 to tie each other and a trio of Eagles for third place.
Kris Phillips (Warrenton, Mo./Warrenton) took a tie for 10th place with 9.550 points.

In the floor exercise,
Jay Ratkowski (Franklin/Franklin) earned a team-high 9.675-point score, which was good for second place.
Taylor Leaman (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) was Oshkosh second-highest scorer with a 9.475 to tie for sixth. The Titans also claimed eighth through 11th, led by McGibboney's score of 9.425 points.

Hughes finished fifth on the balance beam at 9.600 points.
Sam Dorrity (Lewisville, Texas/iUniversity Prep), Ellis,
Jurnee Warkentien (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) and
Emma Steele (Orange County, Calif./Futures Academy) rounded out the Titans' scorers in seventh through 10th place, scoring respective tallies of 9.525, 9.450, 9.375 and 9.325 points.

The Titans continue their road trip next Friday (Feb. 13) when they face Winona State University (Minn.) at 6 p.m. in the Warriors' McCown Gymnasium.
