LA CROSSE, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's track & field placed fifth at the 54th WIAC Outdoor Championship (presented by Culver's)Â after scoring 49 points between Friday and Saturday (May 1-2).

The meet, hosted by UW-La Crosse at Roger Haring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex, was won the the Eagles with 362 points. UW-Eau Claire placed second with 169 points, UW-Stout third with 64 and UW-Whitewater fourth with 59.5. After Oshkosh's 49 points, UW-Platteville was sixth with 48, UW-Stevens Point seventh with 45.5 and UW-River Falls eighth with 22.

Emma Boegh (Berlin/Berlin) got the Titans started on the track on Friday, finishing fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal record of 11:13.73.

Abi Masloroff (Franklin/Franklin) added on another point for the Titans with a 48.65 meter throw in the hammer throw, good for eighth place.

Halle Meyer (Kiel/Kiel) placed sixth in the heptathlon after scoring 4,152 points over the seven-event competition.

Scoring the first points on Saturday, the Titans' 4x100-meter relay team of
Nyla Brown (Milwaukee/Cudahy),
Addie Baker (Delavan/Elkhorn Area),
Mia Riley (Janesville/Janesville Parker) and
Emerson Clark (Ladysmith/Ladysmith) ran 48.77 seconds for sixth place.

Boegh doubled back on day two with a seventh-place finish of 4:45.27 in the 1,500-meter run.

Maya Van Schyndel (Little Chute/Little Chute) earned the bronze medal in the 100-meter hurdles, completing the event in a personal best 14.48 seconds.

Maddy LaVoi (Ankeny, Iowa/Ankeny Centennial) picked up a point in the 400-meter dash, running a 57.57 for eighth place.

Two Titans scored in the 800-meter run.
Megan Hoffman (Clayton/Clayton) set two new personal bests over the two rounds, including a 2:13.29 in the final round that netted her third place.
Adriana Garcia (Green Bay/Green Bay East) finished eighth in the final round, running a personal record of 2:17.49.

Lehna Mitchell (Oshkosh/Oshkosh North) snagged the final track points for the Titans, placing seventh in the 5,000-meter run in 17:55.65.

In the field,
Megan Geason (Franklin/Oak Creek) finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 11.74 meters.

Ruby Goldstein (Somerset/Somerset) and
Brooklyn Manz (Kiel/Kiel) both scored in the discus throw. Goldstein placed fourth with a throw of 44.29 meters and Manz placed eighth with a personal best cast of 42.80 meters.

Finishing out the meet, the Titans' 4x400-meter team grabbed a bronze medal. The squad of Baker, Hoffman,
Jenna Pierre (West Bend/West Bend West) and LaVoi ran a 3:52.33.

The Titans return to La Crosse for the Eagles' Uncaged Eagle Open next Friday (May 8), looking to qualify additional athletes for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship.
