LA CROSSE, Wis.- Ruby Goldstein (Somerset/Somerset) got UW-Oshkosh women's track & field started at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship at Roger Harring Field at Veterans Memorial Sports Complex on Thursday (May 21) by competing in the discus.
Host UW-La Crosse sits atop the scoreboard with 19 points, followed by 10 points for Augustana College (Ill.), Centre College (Ky.) and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Calif.).
In her first national championship appearance, Goldstein finished the discus in 22nd, throwing 37.38 meters.
The Titans will continue competition at the national championship on Friday (May 22) with
Maya Van Schyndel (Little Chute/Little Chute) competing in the first round of the 100-meter hurdles before wrapping up the three-day meet on Saturday (May 23) with
Abi Masloroff (Franklin/Franklin) competing in the hammer throw.
