LA CROSSE, Wis.- Maya Van Schyndel (Little Chute/Little Chute) made her national championship debut on Friday (May 22), racing in the preliminary round of the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship at UW-La Crosse's Roger Harring Field at Veterans Memorial Sports Complex.
 
UW-La Crosse maintains its lead on the team title with 20 points, followed by 18 points for Central College (Iowa), Centre College (Ky.) and Whitworth University (Wash.).
 
Van Schyndel tripped on the seventh hurdle but finished the race in 28.16 seconds.
 
Abi Masloroff (Franklin/Franklin) will round out the Titans' competitors in the national championship on Saturday (May 22)
