LA CROSSE, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's track & field team competed in its first of two weeks' worth of last chance meets Friday (May 8). The Titans traveled to La Crosse for the Eagles' Uncaged Eagle Open and Joliet, Ill. for the University of St. Francis (Ill.) Fighting Chance Invitational.

Maya Van Schyndel (Little Chute/Little Chute) claimed the first medal for the Titans in La Crosse. She placed second with a personal best time of 14.41 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles.

Ruby Goldstein (Somerset/Somerset) grabbed a bronze medal in the discus, throwing 44.45 meters.

At St. Francis,
Adriana Garcia (Green Bay/Green Bay East) kicked the meet off with a 2:16.45 800-meter run time, a personal record.
Megan Hoffman (Clayton/Clayton) also ran the 800-meter run, completing the event in 2:18.95.

Gwen Feitl (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South) and
MacKenzie Dix (Green Bay/Ashwaubenon) ran the 5,000-meter run. Feitl set a personal best of 17:49.99 and Dix ran a 18:53.04.

The Titans end their regular season next week, racing at St. Norbert Last Chance Meet on Monday (May 11) and the Augustana College Midnight Twilight Qualifier on Wednesday and Thursday (May 13-14).
