STEVENS POINT, Wis.- As the UW-Oshkosh women's wrestling team officially became the newest intercollegiate program for Titan Athletics at the UW-Stevens Point Pointer Open on Saturday (Nov. 2),
Annesley Day and
Alivia Davey led the team with a third-place finish in the 124-lb bracket and fifth in the 207-lb bracket.

Myra Bair (Fr. • New Holland, Pa.) won her first match by injury default at 103-lbs, the first-ever win for UW-Oshkosh women's wrestling.

The Titans' first win over an opponent they faced on the mat was an 8-4 decision over North Central College's (Ill.) Hayle Peck for
Audrey Swiderek (Fr. • Albuquerque, N.M.) at 110-lbs. After falling in her second match, Swiderek won by 10-0 technical fall, pin at 2:37 and 12-1 technical fall before losing in the consolation championship match. Also wrestling at 110-lbs was
Savannah Danielson (Fr. • Wausau), who opened her collegiate career by pinning Mia Moore from Aurora University (Ill.) in 1:12.

Aliana Rauter (Fr. • Milwaukee) tallied another pin for UW-Oshkosh at 2:21 in the 117-lb consolation bracket.

Day (Fr. • Round Rock, Texas) won her first three matches by 12-7 decision, 12-2 technical fall and a 7-6 decision over No. 9 nationally ranked Natalie Majier of Carthage College before falling to Grand Valley State University's (Mich.) Aspen Blasko. In the consolation bracket, she won over Margaret Gillmore of UW-Stevens Point by fall at 1:19 and defeated Emjay Neumann, wrestling unattached, by 12-2 technical fall to secure third place.
Mya Delleree (Fr. • Fredonia) won by fall at 2:12 over Stevens Point's Angelica Torres Lima and 10-0 technical fall over Grand Valley State's Linnea Britton.

At 145-lbs,
TaHonesty Donnell (Fr. • Milwaukee) defeated Makayla Howard of Aurora in an 11-0 technical fall.

Davey (Fr. • Berlin) took fifth in the 207-lb bracket by posting a 4-2 record on Saturday. She pinned Khalia Corry in 1:53, won over Francelle Williams by injury default, both of Lakeland University, Augsburg University's Brantajia Loggins by pin at 2:33, and Grand Valley State's Aaliyah Grandberry by 7-2 decision.

Nellie Stagg (Fr. • West Liberty, Iowa) also made their collegiate debuts in Stevens Point on Saturday.

Overall, UW-Oshkosh recorded 19 wins, including eight by fall in its first match.

The Titans return to Kolf Sports Center for their first home meet, Saturday, Nov. 16, in the Titan Duals. The first match is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
