EAU CLAIRE, Wis.- Alivia Davey won the 207-lb bracket, leading the UW-Oshkosh women's wrestling team at the UW-Eau Claire 8-Woman Battles on Saturday (Nov. 23). The Titans also collected two third-place finishes and a trio of fourth-place positions.

Davey (Fr. • Berlin) won by fall over her first opponent of the day, UW-Stevens Point's Marna Andre, in 1:01. She moved on to the semifinal match, winning over Simpson College's (Iowa) Savannah Sistad by 8-0 decision and defeated Morgan Miller from Simpson in a 3-0 decision.

UW-Oshkosh's two third place medals came from
Myra Bair (Fr. • New Holland, Pa.) at 103-lbs and
Ella Creighton (Fr. • Lake Geneva) at 180-lbs.

Bair lost in the first round before pinning Aroura Preston of Buena Vista University (Iowa) at 3:38 and Sofia Meza from Loras College (Iowa) in 31 seconds. She dropped the fifth round match with Augsburg University's (Minn.) Amelia Hermanson, 5-0.

Creighton beat Sifa Feruzi (Illinois Wesleyan University) by 5-2 decision and lost to Simpson's Kassidee Savaria in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds, then taking a close 2-1 win over Katie Whelan from Augsburg.

In the 124-lb bracket,
Annesley Day (Fr. • Round Rock, Texas) took fourth with a win over Margaret Gillmore of UW-Stevens Point with a technical fall score of 10-0.
Paige Haaf (Fr. • St. Croix Falls) also tallied a win, pinning Vaness Elexpru from Simpson in 4:52. She was the second Titan to place fourth, wrestling at 131-lbs.
Leah Schwenker (Fr. • Bernard, Iowa) competed at 160-lbs. She pinned Prudence Vova (Buena Vista) just 16 seconds into the match and won by forfeit in the quarterfinal to advance to the semifinal. She lost in the following two matches, taking fourth.

Audrey Swiderek (Fr. • Albuquerque, N.M.) defeated Augsburg's Gisele Gallegos at 110-lbs for fifth.

Emma Hady Fr. • Muscoda), winning by 2:36 pin and 12-2 technical fall at 117-lbs.

Kaije Youngstrom (Jr. • Crystal Lake, Fla.) grabbed seventh in the 117-lbs bracket and added two pins on her season at 1:24 and 4:04.
