FOND DU LAC, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's golf team continued its hot start to the season on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 6-7) by finishing third in the Marian University Fall Invitational.

The Titans placed third with 686 total strokes (110-over par) over the two days, totaling 350 strokes on Friday at Whispering Springs Golf Club and 336 strokes on Saturday at Rolling Meadows Golf Course.

Lake Forest College (Ill.) won the team trophy with 671 total strokes (95-over par). Individually, Marian University's Yinan Lu claimed the individual title with 156 total strokes (12-over par).

To lead UW-Oshkosh,
Taryn Endres (Jr. • DeForest) finished tied for second with 162 total strokes (18-over par). She hit 79 and 83 strokes across the two-day meet.

Josie Hofer (Sr. • Menominee, Mich.) and
Hailey Matenaer (Jr. • West Bend) took 13th and 14th for the Titans, finishing with a total of 174 (30-over par) and 175 (31-over par) strokes respectively.
Sydney Bornhorst (Sr. • Grayslake, Ill.) grabbed 18th overall by tallying 177 strokes (33-over par).
Kylie Herrin (Jr. • Orland Park, Ill.) rounded out the top-20 finishers for Oshkosh in 20th with 178 strokes (34-over par).

Ava Downie (Fifth • Hortonville) with 179 strokes (35-over par) in a tie for 21st,
Alyssa Dreher (Sr. • Campbellsport) with 181 strokes (37-over par) in a tie for 25th,
Chloe Strunk (Fr. • Waukesha) with 183 strokes (39-over par),
Marin Bell (So. • Oshkosh) with 185 strokes in 29th,
Sophia Steel (Jr. • Hoffman Estates, Ill.) with 197 strokes (53-over par) in 33rd and
Trinity Horstman (Fr. • Onalaska) with 205 strokes (61-over par) in 36th.
UW-Oshkosh will hit the links again for the Benedictine University (Ill.) Midwest Region Classic on Friday, Sept. 20-Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville, Ill.
