KANSASVILLE, Wis. - UW-Oshkosh women's golf wrapped up the final event of the regular fall season in the Benedictine University (Ill.) Midwest Region Classic on Friday (Sept. 19), placing third out of 39 teams with 316 total strokes. Saturday's second round was canceled due to inclement weather.

The University of Northwestern (Minn.) won the team title with 303 strokes (15-over par) and the Eagles'Â Paige Johnson took home the individual title with 72 strokes (par).

Sydney Bornhorst (Grayslake, Ill./Warren Township) led the Titans, hitting 76 strokes with four birdies and placing eighth (4-over par).
Sophia Eggert (Shawano/Shawano Community) placed 14th with 78 strokes (6-over par), followed by both
Taryn Endres (Windsor/DeForest) and
Rylie Severson (Green Bay/Ashwaubenon) with 81 strokes (9-over par) for 31st.
Hailey Matenaer (West Bend/West Bend East) rounded out the Titans' attached golfers with a 153rd-place finish at 93 strokes (21-over par) andÂ
Chloe Young (Waukesha/Bay Port) competed as an independent, totaling 96 strokes (24-over par) for 170th place.

The Titans will begin postseason play at the WIAC Championship, hosted by UW-Stout at the Reedsburg Country Club on October 3-5.
