OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's track & field team hosted their annual Alumni & Friends Invitational on Saturday (Jan. 18). The Titans faced off against alumni and Lawrence University (coached by Titan alumnus and member of the 2002 cross country national championship team Jason Fast). Legendary women's cross country and track & field coach Deb Vercauteren was the namesake of this year's meet.
Jamie Catania (Jr. • Fond du Lac) took second in the mile run with a time of 5:27.02.
Olivia Stenzel (Jr. • Sevastopol) won the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:00.37.
Ceanna Dietz (Fr. • New Richmond) was runner-up with a time of 1:00.71. The Titans swept the 60-meter dash with
Andrea Glaz (Sr. • Oak Creek) winning in a time of 8.02 seconds.
Addie Baker (Fr. • Delavan) took second in 8.20, and
Maddy LaVoi (So. • Ankeny, Iowa) took third in 8.34.
Megan Hunt (Sr. • Lemont, Ill.) took second in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.46 seconds, and
Halle Meyer (So. • Kiel) finished third in 10.15 seconds.
In the 800-meter run,
Amelia Lehman (Sr. • Oshkosh) claimed second in a time of 2:23.53 and
Emma Boegh (Fr. • Berlin) took third in 2:25.98. The Titans proceeded to sweep the 200-meter dash with Glaz picking up her second win of the day in 26.57 seconds.
Addie Baker took second in 26.73 and
Maddy LaVoi took third in 26.96.
In the field events,
Aimee Footit (Jr. • Oshkosh) won the high jump with a best height of 1.51 meters. The Titans swept the pole vault with
Haley Kanitz (Jr. • Menominee Falls) taking the win in 3.20 meters.
Sheila Tellock (Fr. • Loyal) took second with 3.20 meters and
Emerson Clark (So. • Ladysmith) took third at 2.75 meters. The Titans also swept the long jump, with
Megan Hunt winning in 5.70 meters.
Kirkland Williams (Fr. • Three Lakes) took second with 5.23 meters, and
Anna Bubolz (Fy. • Fremont) took third with 4.87 meters.
Brenna Masloroff (Fifth • Franklin) won both throwing events, casting 18.36 meters in the weight throw and 13.52 meters in the shot put.
Bobbi Blahnik (Sr. • Algoma) took second in both, throwing 15.45 in the weight throw and 11.79 in the shot put.
Abi Masloroff (So. • Franklin) took third in the weight throw with 15.35 meters.
Carly Huelskamp (Fr. • St. Germain) took third in the shot put with 11.03 meters.
The Titans return next Saturday (Jan. 25) as they travel to UW-Whitewater for the Karl Schlender Invitational.
