WHITEWATER, Wis.- While most of the UW-Oshkosh men's track and field team traveled to Whitewater for the Midwest Elite Invitational, three Titans traveled to Mankato, Minn. on Friday (Feb. 14) for the Maverick Premier, hosted by Minnesota State.
Davian Willems (Jr. • De Pere) and
Londyn Little (Jr. • Columbia, Ill.) both walked away with new school records. Willems ran 6.68 in the 60-meter dash, not only setting a school record, but also becoming No. 3 all-time in Division III history. Little set the school record in the 200-meter dash, running a 21.47. This moves Little to No. 2 in the nation at Division III this season.
At the Midwest Elite Invitational in Whitewater, the Titans came away with another win, scoring 122 points. On Friday, the weight throw was won by
Gavin Fritsch (Jr. • Little Chute). He won the event with a throw of 19.11 meters. On Saturday (Feb. 15),
Caleb Wright (Jr. • Oswego, Ill.)  claimed gold in the long jump with 7.10 meters.
Christian Thompson (Fr. • Milwaukee) won the Titans' third field event with 2.01 meters in the high jump.
On the track,
Matthew Eiden (So. • Stevens Point) claimed the first medal of the day for the Titans in the 400-meter dash. He took second in 50.21 seconds.
Aden Sears (Sr. • Eureka, Ill.)  and
Daniel Wilson (Fr. • Sun Prairie) both medaled in the 60-meter hurdles. Sears finished in second with 8.06 seconds and Wilson took third in 8.25 seconds.
Eddie Jones (Fr. • Waukesha) grabbed third place in the 60-meter dash, running 6.89 seconds. In the 200-meter dash,
Dylan Gramley (Jr. • Plainfield, Ill.) and
Tray Janssen (Fr. • De Pere) finished in second and third. Gramley ran 22.31 seconds and Janssen ran 22.39 seconds.
The Titans compete in the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge next Saturday (Feb. 22), which is their final home meet of the indoor season.
