INDIANAPOLIS- UW-Oshkosh women's swimming & diving record setting diver
Francesca Schiro will compete at the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championship when the organization announced its annual qualifying list on Wednesday (Feb. 26).

Schiro (Sr. • New Glarus) qualified in the 100-yard freestyle with a preliminary time of 50.98 seconds set at the WIAC Championship (presented by Culver's) on Feb. 22. She then won her second straight conference title in the event at 51.04 seconds. Her program record time ranks 22nd out of the 25 national qualifiers for this year's championship.

The two-time WIAC Swimmer of the Meet also won the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.54) and placed second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:06.18). Schiro was a member of the 200-yard and 800-yard freestyle relay teams that broke program records at the league championship and

Schiro will be making her first career appearance in the national championship. She will also swim in the 50-yard and 200-yard freestyle events. The NCAA Division III Championship is scheduled for March 19-22 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference and Greensboro Aquatic Center will be serving as hosts of the championship.

The 50-yard freestyle competes on March 19, the 200-yard freestyle on March 20, and the 100-yard freestyle on March 22.

Schiro is the first UW-Oshkosh student-athlete to compete at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships since 2019 and the first female swimmer since 2005. She will seek the first swimming & diving All-America honor for the Titans since Matt Wilke in 2019 and the first for the women's team since Renee Porter in 2005.

Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered.
