Four Titans Collect CSC Academic All-District® Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind.- Four members of the UW-Oshkosh women's swimming & diving team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving Team on Tuesday (April 1).

Francesca Schiro (Sr. • New Glarus) and Cadence Showalter (Sr. • Naperville, Ill.) each claimed their third career academic all-district award while Paige Vitek (So. • Raymond) and Brianna Wesenberg (Jr. • Ripon) collected their first.

Schiro is a psychology major with a 3.71 cumulative grade-point average. The holder of four individual event records for the Titans and a member of five relay records, Schiro set the program 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, and 200-yard individual medley marks at the WIAC Championship on her way to her second consecutive league swimmer of the meet award. She also set the 500-yard freestyle school record at the Carthage College Classic in December. Three of UW-Oshkosh's relay records were broken at last year's conference championship and the remaining two, the 200-yard freestyle relay and 800-yard freestyle relay, were reset at the 2025 league meet. She was a member of all five of the squads. Schiro also represented UW-Oshkosh at the NCAA Division III Championship, placing 50th in the 50-yard freestyle preliminary, 30th in the preliminary round of the 200-yard freestyle, and 40th in the 100-yard preliminary. Schiro was selected for academic All-America voting.

Showalter owns a 3.63 cumulative GPA as a sociology major. She owns the program's 100-yard butterfly record and swam with Schiro on each of Oshkosh's five record-setting relay teams. Showalter swam in all 14 of UW-Oshkosh's regular season meets and the conference championship.

A medical laboratory science and microbiology major, Vitek has a team best 4.00 cumulative GPA. The diver competed in 12 meets including the conference championship in her first season with the program after spending the 2023-24 academic year with the women's gymnastics program.

Wesenberg studies advertising at UW-Oshkosh and owns a 3.88 cumulative GPA. She helped the Titans break the school's 800-yard freestyle relay record at this year's league meet, joining Schiro and Showalter.

The 2025 CSC Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom.
