STEVENS POINT, Wis.- On Saturday (Mar. 1), the UW-Oshkosh women's track and field team competed in day two of the WIAC Championship (presented by Culver's), hosted by UW-Stevens Point. The
No. 13 nationally ranked Titans placed fourth with 66 points. Second-ranked UW-La Crosse won with 287.5 points.
Megan Hunt (Sr. • Lemont, Ill.) won her second individual event, this time in the pentathlon with a program record score of 3,596 points.
Cyna Madigan (Sr. • Rosendale) claimed a silver medal in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:15.18.
Emma Boegh (Fr. • Berlin) also got on the podium in the 800, finishing in seventh with a time of 2:19.62. The 4x400-meter relay team finished in third with a time of 3:59.36. The team consisted of
Addie Baker (Fr. • Delavan), Madigan,
Julia Steger (So. • Kewaskum), and
Maddy LaVoi (So. • Ankeny, Iowa).
In the field,
Brenna Masloroff (Fifth • Franklin) and
Bobbi Blahnik (Sr. • Algoma) both got on the podium in the weight throw. Masloroff finished in fifth with 17.16 meters and Blahnik took seventh at 16.08 meters.
The Titans return next week to one of three last chance meets before the NCAA Division III Championship. The Titans head to either La Crosse, Ripon, or Waverly, Iowa.
