CORALVILLE, Iowa- Annesley Day led the UW-Oshkosh women's wrestling team in its first national championship appearance with a 3-2 record at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championship in Coralville, Iowa on Friday and Saturday (March 7-8).

The Titans, who will transition to competition in the NCAA for the 2025-26 season, placed 37th among the 64 teams with six points at the national meet. Iowa won the team title with 201.5 points. Oshkosh earned its first wins in program history at the national championship at 124-pounds and 207-pounds.

Day (Fr. • Round Rock, Texas) began the 124-pound bracket with a 10-0 technical fall victory over Hannah McCarley from Gannon University (Pa.). After falling to North Central College's Amani Jones in the second round of the championship bracket, Day won her first two bouts of the consolation bracket. She pinned East Stroudsburg University's (Pa.) in 1:35 and beat Linda Holeman from Western New England University (Mass.) by an 8-4 decision. She finished her postseason run in the fourth round of the consolation bracket, falling to Alyssa Mahan from Presbyterian College (S.C.).

Mya Delleree (Fr. • Fredonia) and
Alivia Davey (Fr. • Berlin) qualified at 124-pounds and 207-lbs respectively and each recorded a win in the opening day of competition.

Delleree recorded a fall win over Miriam Hopson from Grand Valley State University (Mich.) in 2:03 in her first bout of the tournament and Davey earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory over D'Youville University's (N.Y.) Mackenzie Laforest in her second.
