LA CROSSE, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh men's track & field team took a trip out to La Crosse this weekend to compete at the UW-La Crosse Ashton May Invitational on Saturday (April 5), finishing second with a team score of 147.5 points.

To start off the meet,
John Thill (Sr. • Oshkosh) competed in the 5,000-meter run, finishing in fifth place with a personal best time of 15:19.52.

In the 1,500-meter run,
Cameron Cullen (So. • Kewaunee) led the squad with a personal best time of 4:00.55. Following were
Brady Lewis (So. • Cedarburg) with a personal best time of 4:07.60 and
Alex Peterson (So. • Gillett) in 4:12.36.

Aden Sears (Sr. • Eureka, Ill.) reset his own program record in the 110-meter hurdles with a second-place finish of 14.41 seconds.
Cavan Dobberstein (So. • Manawa) took eighth in 15.33 seconds and
Christian Thompson (Fr. • Milwaukee) ran a 15.59.

Three Titans grabbed top-eight positions in the final round of the 100-meter dash.Â
Eddie Jones (Fr. • Waukesha), finished third in 10.72 seconds, followed by
Danny Vinson (Fifth • Berrien Springs, Mich.) in fourth at 10.75 seconds and
Dylan Gramley (Jr. • Plainfield, Ill.) in seventh at 10.89 seconds.

In the 400-meter dash,
Londyn Little (Sr. • Columbia, Ill.) closed hard and clinched the win in a time of 48.68 seconds.
Joey Knopp (Fr. • Milwaukee) completed his first collegiate meet in 52.77 seconds.

In the 400-meter hurdles,
Weston Lerdal (Sr. • Neenah) ran a 56.12 to cross the line seventh.

Lucas Nicholson (So. • Pewaukee) led the Titans with a time of 1:55.63 in the 800-meter run and clinched the event win.
Jett Breed (So. • Oswego, Ill.) finished sixth in a time of 1:58.68 and
Ryan Potter (Jr. • Oak Creek) took eighth in 1:58.92.

In the 200-meter dash,
Davian Willems (Jr. • De Pere) came across the finish line in first with a personal best time of 21.52 seconds, followed by
Henry Kennedy (So. • Carpentersville, Ill.) in 22.59 seconds (also a personal best) and
Michael Deluca (Jr. • Kenosha) at 22.41.

The team of Trey Janssen (Fr. • De Pere),
Tyran Bender (Fr. • Bourbonnais, Ill.), Deluca, and
Carter Amerson (Fr. Wausau) placed first in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:25.46. In third with a 3:28.72 finish was
Colin Smith (Fr. • Pardeeville), Breed, Potter, and Nicholson.

The high jump competition was led by
Caleb Cornelius (Sr. • Racine), who finished second with a mark of 2.06 meters.
Kyle Wisniewski (So. • New London) took fifth with a jump of 1.96 meters.
Kendrick Cyracus (Jr. • Plainfield, Ill.) followed with a best mark of 1.86 meters.

Joshua Rivers (Jr. • Bolingbrook, Ill.) won the meet with a mark of 7.70 meters, followed by
Caleb Wright (Jr. • Oswego, Ill.) in fifth at 7.09 meters and
Sochim Ozoh (Fr. • Homewood, Ill.) at 6.66 meters.

Max Milbrath (Fr. • Pecatonica, Ill.) led Oshkosh with a fourth place triple jump mark of 13.83 meters and Wright jumped 13.54 meters.

Gavin Fritsch (Jr. • Little Chute) won the discus throw crown with a cast of 49.99 meters, followed by
Kieran Maude (Jr. • Palatine, Ill.) throwing 41.50 meters and
Bryce Hale (So. • Kimberly) throwing 40.95 meters.

In the shot put,
Kieran Maude (Jr. • Palatine, Ill.) finished in fifth with a personal best throw of 16.35 meters.
Cameron Bendixen (Jr. • DeForest) followed with a throw of 15.02 meters and
Jack Wellhoefer (Fr. • Omro) rounded out the Titans' competitors with a mark of 13.78 meters.

In the javelin throw, Matt Scholbe (Jr. • Muskego) threw a personal best mark of 40.75 meters, followed by
Payton White (Fifth • Berrien Springs, Mich.) with a personal best mark of 40.16 meters and
Aden Sears (Sr. Eureka, Ill.) with a 39.93-meter throw.

Kieran Maude (Jr. • Palatine, Ill.) took seventh with a personal best mark of 50.26 meters followed by

The Titans will hit the track again next weekend (April 11-12) when they compete in and host their first outdoor meet at the Oshkosh Sports Complex since the 2014 WIAC Outdoor Championships.
