ONALASKA, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's golf team began its spring season at the UW-La Crosse Spring Invitational at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek in Onalaska on Saturday (April 5). The Titans finished fourth among the seven teams with 360 total strokes.

Oshkosh's 360 strokes were 76 over par. The UW-La Crosse 'A' team took first with 343 strokes (59-over par), the UW-La Crosse 'B' team placed second with 352 strokes (68-over par), and UW-River Falls was third with 354 strokes (70-over par).

UW-Eau Claire followed the Titans in fifth with 362 strokes (78-over par), Viterbo University took sixth with 365 strokes (81-over par), and UW-Stevens Point rounded out the seven-team field with 371 strokes (87-over par).

Josie Hofer (Sr. • Menominee, Mich.) tied for first place among the 41 golfers with 83 strokes (12-over par) which also tied her lowest single round score of the year.

Hailey Matenaer (Jr. • West Bend) was Oshkosh's second-best finisher with 88 strokes (17-over par), tying for 12th place.
Taryn Endres (Jr. • DeForest) tied for 18th at 91 strokes (20-over par), and
Sydney Bornhorst (Sr. • Grayslake, Ill.) tallied 98 strokes (27-over par) for 34th as the Titans' final scorer.

Chloe Strunk (Fr. • Waukesha) tied for 23rd with 94 strokes (23-over par),
Sophia Steel (Jr. • Hoffman Estates, Ill.) tied for 29th with 95 strokes (24-over par),
Kylie Herrin (Jr. • Orland Park, Ill.) placed 35th with 99 strokes (28-over par), and
Marin Bell (So. • Oshkosh) tied for 36th with 100 strokes (29-over par).

The Titans will continue their spring campaign at the Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) Gustie Spring Invite on April 12-13 at the Emerald Greens Golf Course in Hastings, Minnesota.
