GREENWOOD, Ind.- UW-Oshkosh had four student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team on Tuesday (May 12).
Senior
Courtney Carpenter (Oshkosh/Oshkosh West) became the first three-time all-district selection in program history, juniors
Kayla Gibbs (Muskego/Muskego) and
Olivia Pethan (Oshkosh/Fox Valley Lutheran) collected their second career honors, and sophomore
Brianna Owens (Appleton/Kimberly) was named to the all-district team for the first time.
Carpenter, the 2025-26 WIAC Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete and UW-Oshkosh Phyllis Roney Senior Coaches Award recipient, is a medical imaging major with a 3.96 cumulative grade-point average. Exclusively competing in doubles play this season, she went 9-8 overall, including a 2-0 mark in the No. 2 flight.
Gibbs owns a 3.71 cumulative GPA as a physical education major. She went 5-7 in singles competition with a 5-2 mark in the third flight and 11-8 in doubles, posting winning records with all three of her partners.
An accounting major with a 3.80 cumulative GPA, Pethan posted a 5-2 singles record, going 4-2 at No. 1 and 1-0 at No. 2, while going 10-9 in doubles play, most often partnering with Carpenter.
Owens went an even 7-7 in singles play and a winning 5-3 in doubles this season. The accounting major owns a 3.72 cumulative GPA.
The 2026 CSC Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
