KANSASVILLE, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's golf stayed in-state Friday and Saturday (Sept 25-26) to conclude the regular season, as the team competed in the Benedictine University (Ill.) Midwest Region Classic at Brighton Dale Links.
Aurora University (Ill.) took home the team title, finishing 23-over par (599), across both days, with the Spartan's Thanpimol Tharpanawongwech being crowned the individual champion, finishing the event one-under. Oshkosh as a team finished in a tie for 13th with UW-Superior, shooting 106-over (682).
After scoring two birdies on holes 10 and 16 and six bogeys, Sophia Eggert (Shawano/Shawano Community) led the team after day one with a four-over (76) score. Eggert tallied a third birdie on hole 16 in the second round, along with nine bogeys and two double bogeys, on her 12-over (84) scorecard for a tied 21st place finish.
Chloe Young (Waukesha/Bay Port) also scored a pair of birdies on the 10th and 16th holes, alongside eight bogeys, four double bogeys, and a triple bogey, en route to a 17-over (89) finish in the first round. During the second round, Young shot 14-over (85) for 84th place tie, including eight bogeys and two triple bogeys.
Rylie Severson (Green Bay/Ashwaubenon) tallied a birdie on hole 7, in addition to seven bogeys and two double bogeys in a 14-over (86) round. Severson notched a second birdie on hole 13 during day two, along with four bogeys and four double bogeys for an 11-over round (83) and a tie for 57th place.
Following a birdie on hole 10, Addy Horne (Sheboygan Falls/Kohler) recorded 11 bogeys, two double bogeys, and a triple bogey, shooting 94 strokes for a 22-over opening round. Horne would finish the competition in a tie for 115th after finishing 15-over (87) with four bogeys, four double bogeys, and a triple bogey during day two.
Ava Fahrenholz (West Bend/Slinger) completed the first round 19-over (91), compiling three bogeys, two double bogeys, and four triple bogeys onto her scorecard. Day two consisted of a 17-over (89) round for Fahrenholz, featuring seven bogeys and five double bogeys, placing her in a tie for 107th.
Ciara Clark (Mukwonago/Mukwonago) competed individually in the meet and finished tied for 142nd overall, shooting 25-over (97) on day one and 23-over (95) on day two. Clark accrued 17 bogeys, seven double bogeys, and three triple bogeys across both rounds.
Making her first appearance on the course this season, Aliza Koput (Tomah/Tomah) scored a birdie on hole 15 during day two, in addition to a combined 15 bogeys, 14 double bogeys, and three triple bogeys across the two-day event for a tie in 154th place. Koput finished the first round 28-over (100) and the second round 23-over (95) as an individual.
Oshkosh now prepares for the 2026 WIAC Championships Oct. 9-11, hosted by UW-Platteville, at the Reedsburg Country Club. Day one features a shotgun start at 11 a.m., with the remaining two days having split start times beginning at 8:30 a.m. Oshkosh looks to win their fifth team conference title in program history, and the first since 2015.
