ROCK ISLAND, Ill.- The UW-Oshkosh women's golf team kicked off its season with a trip to Rock Island, Ill. for the Augustana College (Ill.) Highland Championship on Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 5-6).
 
Titans placed fifth overall with a combined store of 96 over par. Augustana won the meet with an overall score of 53 over par.
 
The Titans were led by Rylie Severson (Green Bay/Ashwaubenon) and Sophia Eggert (Shawano/Shawano Community), who both scored a score of 164 (20-over par) over the two days. Severson shot 82 on both days, while Eggert shot 81 on day one and 83 on day two. The Titans tied for 11th individually.
 
Ava Fahrenholz (West Bend/Slinger) and Addy Horne (Sheboygan Falls/Kohler) both scored 172 (28-over par) over the two days. Fahrenholz shot 88 on day one and 84 on day two, while Horne shot 85 on day one and 87 on day two. The pair both placed 27th.
 
Chloe Young (Waukesha/Bay Port) also competed for the Titans. She shot 89 on day one and 94 on day two, totaling 183 strokes (39-over par) over the two days. Young finished in a tie for 48th.
 
The Titans return to the course on Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 12-13) for the two day Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.) College Division III Classic, which takes place at Emerald Greens Golf Course in Hastings, Minn.
