Box Score LA CROSSE, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's tennis faced off against UW-La Crosse in a rescheduled conference dual on Wednesday (Oct. 14). The Titans were defeated, 7-0, at Hetzel Fieldhouse in La Crosse.
 
Kayla Gibbs (Muskego/Muskego) posted the best performance for the Titans in singles play with a 6-1, 6-1 loss to Shelby Roth at No. 2 singles.
 
Mana Usui (Franklin/Franklin), Brianna Owens (Appleton/Kimberly), Cate Gerl (Joliet, Ill./Lincoln-Way West), and Sarah Schaeffer (Rock Springs/Reedsburg) each won a game in their first set while Bre Schultz (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) was shut out.
 
Olivia Pethan (Oshkosh/Fox Valley Lutheran) and Courtney Carpenter (Oshkosh/Oshkosh West) were UW-Oshkosh's best doubles partners on Tuesday, dropping a 6-4 decision to Tasha Bailey and Shelby Roth in the top doubles partners.
 
Kayla Gibbs (Muskego/Muskego) and Jameson Gregory (Delavan/Big Foot) fell, 6-1, at No. 2 doubles and Mana Usui (Franklin/Franklin) and Sarah Schaeffer (Rock Springs/Reedsburg) dropped their No. 3 doubles match, 6-0.
 
The Titans will play UW-River Falls (2-9, 1-3 WIAC) in their final match of the fall at PublicIndoorTennis in Minneapolis on Sunday (Oct. 19). Since the teams' first meeting in 1981, UW-Oshkosh is 30-14 all-time against the Falcons and have won each of the last three matchups, including 9-0 wins in 2023 and 2024.
