COLFAX, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh men's cross country team competed at the NCAA Division III North Regional Championship on Saturday (Nov. 15). The meet was hosted by UW-Eau Claire at the Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax. The Titans finished in seventh place with a team score of 236 points.

Top-ranked UW-La Crosse earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship, winning the meet with 30 points. Last year's regional champion and national runner-up Mohammed Bati of Augsburg University (Minn.) won the meet in a time of 24:23.

Three Titans secured All-Region honors.
Cameron Cullen (Kewaunee/Kewaunee) led the way with a ninth-place finish by completing the course in 24:52 for his second career All-Region award. Proteau collected his second All-Region honor by running a 25:05 for 13th place while
Trent Chadwick (Poynette/Poynette) was named All-Region for the first time after taking 27th in 25:34.

Cullen locked up his second national championship appearance. The north region typically takes five or six teams to the national meet. Proteau locks up his spot if UW-Platteville is selected and Chadwick qualifies for the meet if UW-Eau Claire is selected.

Bennett Midthun (Fond du Lac/Winnebago Lutheran Academy) and
Jason Skinkis (Seymour/Seymour) rounded out the point scorers for the Titans on Saturday. They both finished in 26:52 and placed 94th and 95th, respectively.
Alex Arndt (Milwaukee/Saint Thomas More) was sixth for the Titans. He finished in 126th place, running 27:44.
Alex Peterson (Oconto Falls/Gillett) was seventh for the Titans, running 28:09 for 145th place.

The Titans will send their individual qualifiers to the Division III Championship on Saturday, November 22 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Oshkosh's runners will compete for the program's first All-America award since Cody Chadwick placed 21st at the 2019 national meet.
