HARTFORD, Wis.- On a windy day on the course, UW-Oshkosh women's golf continued its impressive start to the season on Friday (September 5) by winning the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational team title. For the second consecutive meet, a Titan also won an individual title.

UW-Oshkosh bested Loras College (Iowa), Milwaukee School of Engineering, Lake Forest College (Ill.), and Wisconsin Lutheran College with 340 total strokes among their four scoring golfers. The meet win was the Titans' first since winning the UW-Oshkosh Titan Classic on September 4-5, 2022.

The Titans were led by
Sydney Bornhorst's (Grayslake, Ill./Warren Township) first-place finish of 78 strokes (6-over par). She hit four fewer strokes than the second-place finisher, Jenna Bistline from Loras for her first career individual meet win.

Hailey Matenaer (West Bend/West Bend East) and
Chloe Young (Waukesha/Bay Port) tied for fourth with 86 strokes (14-over par) and
Rylie Severson (Green Bay/Ashwaubenon) was Oshkosh's fourth scorer in 10th place with 90 strokes (18-over par).

Taryn Endres (Windsor/DeForest) golfed as the Titans' fifth attached competitor, totaling 94 strokes (22-over par) for sixteenth place, while
Ava Fahrenholz (West Bend/Slinger) claimed seventh as an independent with 88 strokes (16-over par).

The Titans will look to continue their hot streak to the season on Saturday (September 6) at the Milwaukee School of Engineering Invitational at Dretzka Park Golf Course in Milwaukee.
