Cole Myhra was a two-time All-America and three-time All-WIAC running back during a trailblazing era of UW-Oshkosh football from 2010-13.
Starting 25 of the 42 games that he played in, Myhra helped UW-Oshkosh to a 32-10 record, including a 13-1 mark in 2012 when the Titans captured their first WIAC title in 46 years and earned their first NCAA Division III postseason appearance.
Myhra picked up Division III All-West Region First Team and Division III All-America Second Team honors by D3football.com and All-WIAC First Team accolades in both 2012 and 2013. He was an All-WIAC Second Team selection in 2011.
Myhra concluded his UW-Oshkosh career with 3,215 rushing yards and 83 pass receptions for another 745 yards. He scored 246 points, including 37 touchdowns rushing and four on pass receptions. Myhra currently ranks third in UW-Oshkosh history in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns and fourth in points scored. He also surpassed 100-plus yards rushing 15 times.
After rushing for 83 yards in 2010 and 442 yards and two touchdowns in 2011, Myhra became one of the nation's top ballcarriers during his final two seasons as a Titan by averaging 112 rushing yards per contest while totaling 37 rushing touchdowns.
In 2012, Myhra rushed 246 times for 1,589 yards and 16 touchdowns while catching 44 passes for 418 yards and three scores. During UW-Oshkosh’s postseason march to the national semifinals, Myhra rushed for 198 yards in a 55-10 victory over The College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) and 177 in a 37-14 triumph over Bethel University (Minn.). The Menomonee Falls High School graduate led the WIAC in rushing yards, all-purpose yards (2,007), points scored (2012) and games with 100-plus rushing yards (9).
UW-Oshkosh romped through the 2012 regular season unbeaten in 10 games, including a 34-13 home victory over 13th-ranked UW-Platteville and a 28-13 triumph at fifth-ranked UW-Whitewater. The Titans advanced to the NCAA postseason semifinals with a 31-24 overtime win at third-ranked Linfield University (Ore.). The Titans' historic 2012 season ended with a 28-14 setback at fourth-ranked University of St. Thomas (Minn.).
In 2013, Myhra compiled 1,101 yards and 19 touchdowns rushing while adding 33 pass receptions for 285 yards and one score to help the Titans to an 8-2 record. Myhra scored multiple touchdowns in eight of UW-Oshkosh’s 10 games, including a four-score performance during the Titans’ 41-13 victory over UW-River Falls. Myhra concluded his standout UW-Oshkosh career by rushing for 194 yards and two touchdowns during a 17-16 last-second home loss to 10th-ranked UW-Platteville.
Myhra, a supply chain and operations management major, received a bachelor's degree from UW-Oshkosh in 2014.
Following seven years of employment at Plexus Corporation, Myhra moved into his current position as co-owner and commercial project manager at Keller, Inc. in 2020. An assistant football coach at Winneconne High School from 2014-16, Myhra has been a Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce board member since 2022.
Myhra and his wife, Haley, also a UW-Oshkosh alumnus, live in Fremont with their children Grant, Reya and Scottie. Myhra’s father, Wayne, was an All-America gymnast for UW-Oshkosh in the late 1970s. His uncle, Ron, was an All-American football player at UW-La Crosse and was inducted into the Eagles' Wall of Fame in 1994.
