One of the finest basketball players to ever play under UW-Oshkosh coach Bob Kolf, Morgan Poullette came to the university following graduation from Wautoma High School, where he was a member of basketball squads which won conference titles four times.

A two-year starter for UW-Oshkosh who mastered the two-hand set shot, Poullette led the Titans in scoring and gained all-conference honor his senior year. When the Titans played Marquette University in 1935, Poulette made 8 of 11 field goal attempts from the center circle, a highlight he indicates he'll never forget.

The dedication it took Poullette to master the two-hand set shot also made him an outstanding educator in Wisconsin. He was a teacher and coach at Antigo High School from 1935-42 and principal at Antigo Junior High School and Antigo High School from 1942-44 and 1944-50, respectively. Poullette later became superintendent of schools in Antigo from 1950-68 and in Verona from 1968-74.
