Jack Borski was an All-American on the field and in the classroom as a member of the highly successful UW-Oshkosh men’s soccer teams from 2007-10.

Borski became the first defender in program history to collect All-America honors when he was named to the United Soccer Coaches Third Team and D3soccer.com First Team in 2010 after helping the squad reach the semifinals of the NCAA Division III Championship. Borski remains the only defender in school history to be named a USC All-American.

Borski’s on-field accolades also include three straight Division III all-region awards and a pair of All-WIAC First Team awards in 2009 and 2010. He was selected to the 2010 USC All-North Region First Team after being named to the All-North Central Region Second Team in 2008 and All-North Region Third Team in 2009.

Borski and the Titans compiled a 61-13-8 record from 2007-10, with appearances in the third round of the 2007 and semifinal round of the 2010 NCAA Championship. Borski helped UW-Oshkosh register season records of 17-3-1 in 2007, 11-5-2 in 2008, 13-4-2 in 2009 and 20-1-3 in 2010. The Titans were also co-champion of the WIAC in 2010.

Borski, who started 72 of his 73 games played, totaled 13 career points on one-match winning goal and 11 assists. He counted a career-high five assists in 2007 and tallied his lone goal 11 minutes into a 4-0 victory at Clarke College (Iowa) in 2009.

A key cog in the UW-Oshkosh defense, Borski helped the Titans yield just 13 goals in both 2007 and 2010 and 16 in both 2008 and 2009. The Titans totaled 49 shutouts over his four seasons.

UW-Oshkosh’s 2010 NCAA tournament run featured four wins, including three straight shutouts at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium, before suffering a 4-1 setback to eventual national champion Messiah University (Pa.) during the semifinals held in San Antonio, Texas.

In 2007, UW-Oshkosh earned a pair of home shutout victories before suffering a 2-1 loss to eventual national runner-up Trinity University (Texas) in the third round of the NCAA Championship held in St. Louis, Mo.

Borski, who compiled a 3.79 grade point average as a geology major, was named the WIAC Max Sparger Men’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2010 and the UW-Oshkosh John Taylor Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2011.

Borski’s efforts in the classroom and on the soccer field also earned him USC College Scholar All-America First Team honors in 2010. The College Sports Communicators additionally named Borski to its Academic All-America Second Team in 2010 and Academic All-America Third Team in 2009.

Since graduating from UW-Oshkosh in 2012, Borski earned degrees in sedimentology/geology from Montana State University in 2014 and geographic information science and cartography from the University of Denver in 2021.

Borski, a graduate of Madison West High School, was among 14 Titans selected to the 20-member WIAC Men’s Soccer All-Centennial Team in 2012.

Borski is a senior geologist at Oxy Oil & Gas in Denver, Colo., while also serving as a geologist with the Denver-based Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Borski resides in Denver with his wife, Molly Knutson, and their son, Charlie.
