Nick Boehlke had an exceptional career, claiming five All-America awards and seven conference titles, as a member of the UW-Oshkosh men's cross country and track & field programs from 2001-06.
Boehlke, a 2001 Three Lakes High School graduate, competed for UW-Oshkosh in cross country in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2005 and track & field in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006. He missed the 2004 track & field and cross country seasons due to an injury.
Boehlke was a two-time All-American in cross country, finishing seventh at the NCAA Division III Championship in 2002 when UW-Oshkosh captured the team title and 26th in 2005 when the Titans placed 11th nationally. Boehlke also finished 161st at the Division III Championship in 2001 and 46th in 2003.
Boehlke is the owner of four top-six finishes at the Division III Cross Country Midwest Regional. He placed second at the meet in 2005, third in both 2001 and 2003 and sixth in 2002. UW-Oshkosh was the regional team champion in both 2002 and 2003.
Boehlke was a top performer at the WIAC Cross Country Championship as well. He finished fourth at the meet in both 2001 and 2002, fifth in 2003 and sixth in 2005. Boehlke's performance helped the Titans capture team titles in both 2002 and 2003.
In track & field, Boehlke achieved All-America status three times while winning three indoor and four outdoor conference titles.
Indoors, Boehlke was a member of distance medley relay teams that earned All-America mention with their finishes of fourth in 2005 and eighth in 2006 at the Division III Championship. The performance of Boehlke and his relay partners, including 2021 UW-Oshkosh Hall of Fame inductee Willy Kaul and 2024 UW-Oshkosh Hall of Fame inductee John LeRoy in 2005, helped UW-Oshkosh finish sixth in the team standings in 2005 and third in 2006.
Boehlke was named the Outstanding Track Performer at the 2006 WIAC Indoor Championship after winning both the 3,000- and 5,000-meter runs. He also won the 3,000-meter run title at the 2005 conference championship.
Outdoors, Boehlke was chosen as the 2006 Division III Midwest Region Track Athlete of the Year. He earned the recognition after running to an All-America finish of seventh in the 10,000-meter run at the Division III Championship and winning both the 5,000- and 10,000-meter runs for the second consecutive year at the WIAC Championship. Boehlke's performance at the Division III Championship helped UW-Oshkosh to a 10th-place finish in the team standings.
Boehlke, who established a UW-Oshkosh record with his first-place time of 29:52.68 in the 10,000-meter run at the Gina Relays held April 27, 2006, was selected to the WIAC Men's Track & Field All-Centennial Team in 2012.
Boehlke received his bachelor's degree from UW-Oshkosh in 2007 and master's degree from the University of Arizona Global Campus in 2014. As an undergraduate he was a three-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
Since 2022, Boehlke has been a professional & organizational development manager for the State of Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment. He previously spent 12 years as a student advising manager for the University of Arizona Global Campus and five years as a customer experience manager for the California-based Gap Inc., an American worldwide clothing and accessories retailer.
Boehlke, who was inducted into the Three Lakes High School Hall of Fame in 2018, lives in Denver, Colo., with wife Therese, son Sebastian and daughter Eleanor.
