Ron Hayek led the Titans to the 1967 and 1968 conference championships in basketball. His outstanding play earned him all-conference honors in the two years and he was named the best player in the NAIA District 14. He tied for top scoring honors in the conference in 1968 and still holds several Titan records. Hayek played a major role in Oshkosh's third-place finish at the NAIA National Championship in 1968. He was also named to the All-American honorable mention list and the All-Tournament Team in 1968 at the NAIA Championship.
